What features are not available in the WhatsApp Business API?

WhatsApp Business API is a specific WhatsApp product that is different from WhatsApp Business and Personal. To find out all the differences read this article.

These are the tools that do not exist in the WhatsApp Business API (WABA):
  1. Groups
The groups option was removed from WABA on 15 April 2020. 
Numbers that are activated as WABA cannot create, participate or manage groups on WhatsApp. 
As groups are often used as a way to send mass communication to multiple customers at once, it should be noted that you can do the same with campaigns in Zoho CRM using WABA. To learn more about how to create campaigns read this article.
  1. Calls
WABA does not allow calls.

  1. Catalogue
WABA does not have a catalogue function. 
We recommend, and is very successful with all our customers who have product sales, is to create templates with catalog information in order to easily send product information with images, or pdf. This way, sellers will have a set of predefined answers, with all the information needed to meet the demand of any customer in a very simple way. 
Generating automations that send these templates with the catalogues, is an option to save the time of your sales team and generate more sales.
  1. Status
The WABA does not have the status function.
If you want to update your company's information to customers, you can create workflow automations for sending push messages based on customer behavior or through campaigns.
