How to Automatically Forward WhatsApp Messages to Slack with WOZTELL & Make
This step-by-step tutorial explains how to set up a Make scenario that forwards all messages received on WhatsApp (via WOZTELL) directly to a Slack channel.
It’s perfect for support teams who want to monitor WhatsApp activity in Slack or centralize communication.
Overview
Your automation flow consists of just two modules:
1. WOZTELL | Unleash WhatsApp – Watch New WhatsApp Message
2. Slack – Create a Message
Visual flow:
Step 1: Watch New WhatsApp Message (WOZTELL)
1. In Make, add the module: WOZTELL | Unleash WhatsApp – Watch New WhatsApp Message.
2. Connect your WOZTELL account.
3. Select the WhatsApp channel (your inbox) to monitor.
4. This module will trigger every time a new WhatsApp message is received.
Step 2: Send the Message to Slack
1. Add the module: Slack – Create a Message.
2. Connect your Slack account.
3. Choose the Slack channel where you want to post incoming WhatsApp messages.
4. Map the WhatsApp message content from the previous module directly into the Slack message field (recommended: use the raw text content as the template).
5. Optionally, you can format the message, add sender info, or customize the template for your team’s needs.
Best Practices
- Prepare or create the Slack channel ahead of time, ensuring your bot/app has access.
- Use message templates to clarify sender, timestamp, or WhatsApp channel for easy tracking.
- Test each step independently before going live to ensure correct data mapping.
Result
Once activated, every WhatsApp message received will automatically appear in your chosen Slack channel, keeping your team in the loop and improving responsiveness.
