What is a Push Notification?

Push technology is a style of communication in which the request for transmission of information is originated by the server, as opposed to pull technology in which the request is originated by the customer. In other words, Push notifications are instant messages you receive on your devices. For example, the promotional SMS you receive on your phone are Push notifications.

SMS was the most used technology for the transmission of Push notifications, however, since the appearance of WhatsApp, SMS sending has decreased more and more; the below graph shows the current tendency regarding the current transmission of this type of messages.



 

According to the graph, SMS transmissions fell 84% in Spain in the last decade,  which makes one wonder about the viability of continuing SMS push notification projects since they are used less and less.


¿How can we make Push Notifications efficient?

¿What license do I need for these notifications?

There are two options, dependent on each customers' needs, one will be better than the other; for example, if the customer does not mind using a number shared with hundreds of other companies, the Woztell Push license option that costs only $99/month, in monthly payment mode, would be enough. If on the other hand, the customer would like his own number to strengthen their corporate image, the best option is the LiveChat license, which costs $99/month in monthly payment mode.

¿Are there any additional costs for this project?

Yes, on one hand, we have the monthly fee, according to the type of license chosen, and the cost of template messages we send according to country;  on the other hand, the cost of the project itself.

To carry out this kind of project, an initial consultation is needed to help us understand how the solution should be created, then parameters are set and the solution is developed,  integrations with other systems (CRM, ERP, etc.) and, finally, training is provided to teach how to best use the solution. The cost of the project will depend on its complexity and the number of integrations required, which is why we call this type of project AdHoc, customized developing.

¿What does a partner have to do to sell Push notification projects?

In this type of project, our partner's job is very simple. Regardless of the type of training and knowledge they have, any partner can sell Push Notification projects.
