Learn how to connect WhatsApp with WOZTELL

You can use a new number to connect WhatsApp Cloud API or connect your current WhatsApp Business account using the Co-Existence feature

Warning
Important: The Co-Existence option is not available in all countries. Check availability by country here
  1. Have a WOZTELL account
  2. Have a landline or mobile number that is not linked to WhatsApp, or a WhatsApp Business account if you plan to use Co-Existence. 
  3. Have a Facebook Business Manager account. If you don't have one, you can create it during the setup process. 

Step 1. Create a WhatsApp channel in WOZTELL 

  1. Go to https://platform.woztell.com/
  2. Go to Settings > Channels > New channel


  1. Select WhatsApp Cloud  and then "Create channel"


  1. Choose a name for the channel and optionally a description for internal use (it will not be shown publicly). Then click "Confirm".

  1. The channel has been created. 

Step 2. Set up your WhatsApp channel

  1. Select which type of channel you want to connect to WOZTELL

First, we will show you how to connect WhatsApp Business with Co-Existence

  1. Click on "Start setup" . In the pop-up window, log in to Facebook and choose or create a business portfolio for your company.

  1. At this step you will be asked again if you want to connect an existing WhatsApp Business account or use a new number to connect WhatsApp Cloud API. Select the option "Connect your existing WhatsApp Business app" and click next.


  1. Add the phone number of your Business account. You may need to enter a verification code sent by Facebook to your WhatsApp Business app. Otherwise, you will move to the next step where you must confirm your WhatsApp account.
  1. Finally, you can import contacts and chats from up to six months prior by tapping the message received in the app and scanning the QR code.

You have now connected your WhatsApp Business account to Facebook Business Manager. The last step is to link it with WOZTELL.

Select the number you just connected and choose the data you want to sync. Complete the process by clicking "Deploy Now"


Done! Your WhatsApp Business account is now ready to use in WOZTELL

Now, we will show you how to connect WhatsApp Cloud API 

  1. Click on "Start setup" . In the pop-up window, log in to Facebook and choose or create a business portfolio for your company.
  1. Now, create a WhatsApp Business account to associate with your number. You can also use an existing account in your Facebook Business portfolio. 
  1. Complete the business profile with the corresponding information

  1. Add your new phone number and choose to receive the verification code by call or SMS. 
Done! You have connected your WhatsApp Cloud API channel to Facebook Business Manager. 


Now link it to WOZTELL:
  1. Choose a server and a security pin. Click on "Deploy Now"

Done! Your WhatsApp Cloud API channel is now up and running. 

Step 3. Review your data and test your channel

Review your data: number or ID. You can edit your WhatsApp profile


From the "Message Template" tab you can create or edit your WhatsApp templates.


Test your WhatsApp Business channel using the application

Send a message from the WhatsApp Business app to yourself and view it in WOZTELL Inbox 


Test your WhatsApp Cloud channel using your personal WhatsApp

Send a message from your personal WhatsApp to your new WhatsApp Cloud channel in WOZTELL.




Done! You can now start sending and receiving messages from WOZTELL, while keeping access from the app.

How to disconnect from the API

If at any time you want to disconnect your channel, you can use the WhatsApp Business application directly to disconnect from the cloud API. To do this you must go to Settings > Account > Business platform and click the "Disconnect account" button.
